The Arbor Vitae Brush Site is located on Schuman Road. Pine needles, leaves and branches no more than 3" in diameter will be accepted. A brush site permit is necessary and available at the Town Office. A new permit is not necessary each year. 

The Town of Boulder Junction operates a transfer site at 1000 Old Highway K and the site attendant may be reached at (715) 385-2139.

The town has a compost site. The burn pad is being phased out but the town will continue to accept brush 3″ in diameter or less. Please visit the site attendant for more information.

Minocqua’s Brush Disposal & Compost Site will open on Saturday, May 20th. It will remain open on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. through at least November 5th.*** NOTE: FINAL DATE EXTENDED TO NOVEMBER 12, 2023 ***

This is later than normal, but we’ve experienced a very late spring and it’s important for the access roadway to firm up and be made for the traffic before opening.

A Permit is required. Please review important information to use the site HERE.

Open the last Saturday of each month From April through October 2023. A Town of Newbold employee will be at the town shop at 6704 Bridge Rd, McNaughton on the last Saturday of each month on the following dates: April 29, May 27, June 24, July 29, August 26, September 30 and October 28, 2023 between the hours of: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for Newbold Residents only to deposit:

• Leaves and Brush
• No branches larger than 10 inches In diameter will be accepted.
• No stumps, rocks or other debris Will be accepted.
• Tires (up to five tires per resident)
